The Build team encompasses all aspects of the building of the robot and the field our team creates for a mini-regional each year. This year the sub-teams were divided into the specific aspects of the robot and the important build support teams.

· The Drive Train sub-team focuses on building the drive controls.

· The Chassis sub-team constructs the main frame of the robot from the specifications set by FIRST.

· The Construction sub-team is in charge of constructing the field and the pit.

· The Kicker sub-team is a team of students dedicated to building a pneumatic kicker for the robot.

· The Lift sub-team is working on the winch system that will lift our robot on to the tower to score some end game points.

· The CADD sub-team is technically not a ‘build,’ team but is crucial to the process of building a robot. All ideas, after being thrashed out, are created in CADD to ensure it will really work.

· The Electronics sub-team works closely with the other build teams, utilizing their knowledge of electronics to ensure all the parts of the robot that need power have power.

· The Programming sub-team is in charge of writing code for the CRIO, the brain of the robot.

The Business team is also comprised of several sub teams. The team’s overall purpose is to direct all non-build projects, including marketing plans and media channels.

· The Media sub-team is devoted to recording the team’s activities through photos, videos, and blogs. The material is all posted on the team’s web site.

· The Web sub-team is in charge of building and maintaining the team’s website. They are fed content primarily through the media sub-team, and post photos, videos and blogs created by them on the site.

· The Marketing sub-team is comprised of members from both the web and media sub-teams. The members promote the team and procure grants to fund the team’s expenditures.

· The Accounting sub-team utilizes accounting techniques to ensure we have enough money to do what we want to do.
